Jean Chan
This picture of Jean Chan was taken in her little shop in downtown Uturoa. Jean is perhaps the most important player in the Tahitian vanilla market and I really enjoyed the time I spent in her shop getting to know her. One little secret though: She pretends not to know much English but in reality, it is quite good.
