Ayun from Spar Lasht, Chitral, Pakistan

Ayun from Spar Lasht, Chitral, Pakistan

Ayun is the beauty of Hindu Kush and situated on a large alluvial fan on the west bank of the Chitral River. Around 12 kilometres to the south of Chitral on the main road down towards the Lowari
Pass, a turning leads down to a bridge across the river and then to Ayun 3 kilometres further on.

I had been there in August and September 2009 and the above shot had been taken on September 28, 2009 with Nokia73 cellphone.

Me on the legendary Khamar Gut in the vicinity of Skyland, Upper Dir, Pakistan

Me on the legendary Khamar Gut in the vicinity of Skyland, Upper Dir, Pakistan

A brief legendary tale about this boulder:

The aforesaid boulder is located on the border between Swat district and Dir district in Khyber Pakhtonkhwa province of Pakistan. Some local folk cringe at the notion of that a couple was passing through this hilly area. They were exhausted after a tedious journey over the mountains and also feel hungry. They managed to choose a suitable place for rest and looking for water. Luckily there was a fountain of sweet water and the couple drank heartily. They were about to resume their voyage when at once a massive snake appeared from nowhere. The couple set off in fear and trepidation and somehow managed to restore their courage. They solemnly requested for help to God in order to save theirs-elf. God Almighty did help the couple and turned the snake into a huge boulder which is still there.
There is a track nearby that boulder which leads to Swat Valley and we were following the footprints of that legendary couple on our trek to Swat Valley.
