I finally got some time for my photography But not nearly as much time as I would have want!
Last autumn I moved away from Iceland and now I live in Hungary where I study medicine. My camera kit was left home in Iceland so my uploads will be infrequent this winter.
The photo shows a part of the waterfall “Brúarfoss”. Situated just few kilometers from the famous Gullfoss & Geysir.
For this image I used all the ND filters that I could put in front of my lense.

Just got a Lee filter set and I just had to go and try it. The photo is taken in Strausmvík (just out side the capital area). Not a very special place but I think the filter set shows real potential :P
The photo is taken on the shore in Straumsvík. The stream is just a 1m wide and few cm deep surrounded by seaweed.

Hot Spring at Winter

Hot Spring at Winter

Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm
Aperture: f/9
Exposure time: 1/160 sec
ISO speed: 100

Location: Sogin, Iceland
Date: March 19, 2011

The photo shows a small hot spring in the “Sogin” area in Iceland. The heat from the hot spring has melted the foot thick snow and the steam clouds the sun.
The photo is taken this winter during a short hike. The “Sogin” area is a geothermal area just out side Reykjavík.

I am still having trouble trying to find time for my photography. I made a small trip last weekend but I forgot to reset the ISO-settings (from the night before) so none of my photos were as good as I planed.
So at the moment I am working with photos from old photoshoots.
This one it from the summer 2009 and is taken in the same trip and this one:

My first model shoot

My first model shoot

Lens: Sigma 18-200mm @ 78mm
Aperture: f/7.1
Exposure time: 1/4 seconds
ISO speed: 100

Location: Kjölur, Iceland
Date: October 31, 2010
Time: 17:18 PM

In autum I did my first try to do a model shoot. In a grass field up in the Icelandic highlands my friend, Sædís, did some modeling for me. In a freezing wind and -9°C she modeled for me in this thin dress. Even I, wearing my thick down parka, was freezing. No wonder she took her time in the hot tub afterwards!
