Timisoreana Beer Mat (back)

The most popular beer in Romania, Timisoreana is also the oldest and first beer in the country. The brewery came into existence in 1718.

The name means "from Timisoara" (my hometown), but can also be interpreted as "a girl from Timisoara".

It is also my favourite.

The text goes:
"Let's raise our beers in honour of Prince Eugene of Savoy, who, after banishing the turks from the city/fortress of Timisoara, in 1718, took the most wise of decisions: to build the first brewery of Romania."

1996 F1 Season Cartoons

Stumbled upon these amongst my old stuff.

They are french cartoons celebrating Renault's win of the '96 F1 season.
These were cards to be found in cigarette packages, each of the value of one F1 Point, which you could exchange for merchandise (20 would get you a lighter).

From left to right (top to bottom), the grand-prix' are:
1. Australia (here at the antipodes/down under, it's important that the car should stick to the track)
2. Brazil (why is there only one race here?)
3. Argentina
4. Europe (and again, I don't attack)
5. San Marino
6. Monaco
7. Spain
8. France (not even sparkling water?)
9. Great Britain
10. Germany (there was a circuit in this Black Forest!?)
11. Hungary (on the pit sign: take your time)
12. Belgium
13. Italy
14. Portugal (this track near the beach is great)
15. Japan
