      It turns out about three-quarters of the people arrested downtown were riot tourists who weren't actually from Oakland. I'd say Oakland did pretty OK, considering.

      sometime after this was taken the marquee was changed to say "Oaklanders" instead of "citizens".

      Oh how I miss the GL Theatre. Used to live 1/2 a block away and catalog the marquee. Good shot. RIP Oscar Grant.

      @adfern2009 Nah, no photos -- my bus did go through downtown, and everyone on it started craning around to look at the broken glass, but I didn't feel much like gawking.

      @zensrokoner I have a real soft spot for that theater! I live a couple blocks away, and it's a great part of coming home, especially at night when it's all lit up.
