reykjavik, iceland - apr 08

our last stop after israel and amsterdam was reykjavik iceland (or "island" in icelandic). we saw some amazing things. the land was awe-inspiring, incredible. but human life there feels tenuous, carefully poised on the brink of disaster, thanks to the geologic activity just beneath the land's surface - and due to an extremely short growing season that makes sustainability difficult... a strange land we learned a lot from.
