heart opening

heart opening by arimoore.
going to rishikesh helped me to open my heart a little more. while we were there i thought of john lennon being there, how the beatles changed after their stay with the maharishi. did their hearts open there, too? i drew this thinking of john changing over time, the ganges flowing through his memory even after he'd left.

I believe John and Paul grew disenchanted with the Maharishi and left India and didn't have very good things to say about him

you're so right, they were really disillusioned. we had some bad times in india too, along with the good - but the overall experience was life-changing, heart-opening. there's something about the ganges, and the history and life around it, that it's hard to get out of your head... at least, that's been my experience.
