Bank of America security flipping me off during the Iraq war protest
I started to take a photo of the Bank of America which had been closed because of the protest and they told me I wasn't allowed to.
I explained I was on a public sidewalk. One of them gestured to an
imaginary
line which they said was the Bank of America's property. Even if that
was the case, I was a few feet beyond it.
I started taking some photos and they certainly didn't represent the Bank of America in a very favorable way (ie. like complete assholes blocking my lens www.flickr.com/photos/ari/2347593532/ and giving me the finger www.flickr.com/photos/ari/2347592832/ ). And now these photos are tagged Bank of America and will come up in searches.
I then noticed that red paint had been thrown high up on the window. Still this was pretty mild compared to some of the Vietnam era protests which focused on B of A.

This is pathetic. I think we should just call the SFPD and ask them who was stationed outside the BoA on this corner.
These officers need to lose their jobs.

Those do NOT look like SFPD officers. Judging by the uniforms, they look like your stereotypical rent-a-cop. This is backed up by the tag list, which very clearly has rent-a-cop, guard, security, guards and security guards listed.

Yes, as I mentioned on the other photo www.flickr.com/photos/ari/2347592832/ , they are private security guards hired by the Banak of America (and obviously not given any training in dealing with a protest).
It looks like they are from Wackenhut

Wow, he is actually giving the finger to the spot of red paint on the window. Some one should give that guy a raise.
But seriously, it's scary that someone deemed his decision making skills sufficient enough to wield a gun.
I can't wait for the edited version of this photo minus the paint spot. The context of the photo would change from a douche bag that hats red paint spots to a douche bag that hates Bank of America.

Considering the guard's behavior, I wonder if they didn't contribute to a tense situation, elevating the danger to BA's property and customers.

I am currently employeed by G4S Wackenhut and am enlisted in the U.S. military until 2013. These pathetic excuses for protection disgust me and bring shame upon our company. G4S is one of our nations leading employers for transitioning military personnel, and this type of behavior DOES NOT represent the attitude of those employeed by G4S. I honestly hope they have been fired...what douchebags. I apologize deeply for these moronic sloth nuts and hope you never have to deal with this type of behavior from those in the security industry again.

And actually, from closer inspection...
These are NOT Wackenhut guards at all...
The badge looks very similar but the patches are not ours...
Neither are the uniform colors...
None of us have black shirts...specifically so nobody mistkaes us for police officers. We only have dark pants and jackets.
All our baseball caps have a huge globe emblem on the front...we don't get baseball caps half the time anyways...
We typically have to wear trooper-style felt hats.
Nonetheless...these dickheads need fired

Ignorance is bliss , is it ?
Given the latest Wall St Bankers debacle there's a sense that history repeats. For the interesting ,alternative history overview of the US or our western financial system ; that has perhaps promoted a false engagement in several wars for the bankers profits, the Zietgeist movie clips are a ? must see or allow one to think outside the mainstream or square.See below. It can't all be dimissed?

They are G4S/Wackenhut security. You can contact the company's Human Resources department at the following link:

To the post about uniforms, they are G4S / Wackenhut officers but they have on the updated uniform.
