Monar Jonban

Monar Jonban

The Monar Jonban (Shaking Minarets) is located in Isfahan, IRAN.
It was built in 14th century to cover the grave of Amu Abdollah Soqla.
Its special feature is that if either of the minarets is shaken, the other minaret will vibrate as well.
The wooden beams on the upper part of the minarets have been placed there to facilitate the shaking of the minarets, but the presence of wood in the brickwork causes other complications. Shaking is in theory restricted to once every twenty minutes.

Note: "monar jonban" is NOT a mosque, It's a tomb.

One day you were here
You and me, together, for the first time
Right here, next to me
I can still remember, how it's all begun,
I can still remember, we sat here for hours,
I can still hear your sweat whisper in my ear,
It seems like yesterday..
Though the good old days are gone
They keep me hanging on...
