Talking points cards from President Reagan's meeting with Soviet Foreign Minister Shevardnadze
These Talking Points were prepared for Ronald Reagan’s private meeting with Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze on September 27, 1985. He organized his thoughts on such topics as arms control, cultural exchange, Soviet intentions, and regional issues. These cards reflect the importance Reagan placed on the use of “personal diplomacy” to improve the relationship between the USSR and the United States.
