Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, Newark, NJ

Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, Newark, NJ by plains.architecture.
Wickliffe Presbyterian Church was built in 1888-1889 for a White congregation but was bought in 1910 by one of Newark's oldest African-American churches. Through several name changes, the building served until its demolition circa 1990. This photograph was taken about 1972 as part of Wickliffe's nomination to the National Register. It shows the building's west elevation along Boston Street.

The auditorium was located to the left of the entry tower; the radial Sunday school was to the right.
