Chaterhouse Chapter House

The C13th chapter-house of thestructure hidden from teh public gase in private grounds. Cisterciam abbey at Hinton Charterhouse is an extraordinary space. Empty and decaying it is a poetic and beautiful

Empty vaults

Looking in the reverse direction to the first image this is the Chapter House at Hinton Charterhouse. The building is a particularly unusual structure with room after room stacked up above this chamber in seemingly unordered fashion.
