Imperial Green
I'm not the only one who has this (or a similar) shot, mainly because this was so cool. During our training for the Rose Parade, the Lucasfilm marketing team moved us around so much in formation to make us "look good" that we lost track of where we were supposed to stand. So, when we went to lunch, we left our helmets in formation on the astroturf. Everyone knows what their helmet looks like. It's like finding your black lab in the doggy daycare, amongst 50 other black labs. It's your dog.
My Scout helmet is hanging out there, proudly. They organized us into three companies (as you could see if you watched the parade). The helmets in the background are Alpha Company, and in front here is Bravo Company (the diverse lot, no prejudice for just white guys in our company--heh).
It's also been said that this looks like a sad sort of stormtrooper graveyard. Very sad.

This is so great, Ara. It looks like the Jedi have buried the storm troopers alive ... just up to their necks ... to immobilize them until the Clone Wars are swinging in the Jedi's favor. So funny. : )

what an interesting & funny shot...i like the perspective as well...some of the helmets look different like that with the blue line or the white / yellow one.
i wonder if your rose parade has something in common with our "rosenmontags zug" which is a carnival procession that happened yesterday in most parts of germany...carnival is kind of a state of emergency ;-) when rheinland is a madhouse and people get dressed up and celebrate very merry on streets, bars and parties...;-)

Ara, I'm deeply impressed by your confidence that you'll find your helmet among all these ;-)

Since they had you right there on the field, it would have been awesome if someone had arranged a last second flag football game, in full costume of course.

ViewsFromTwo: It was a blast to be there. Something I'll never forget. And yes, the Scouts are my favorite, too. :-)
Jim: *lol* Yeah, it does look like we're buried to our necks. Good tactic to remember for the next war.
Jerry: It isn't quite so grand as all that, since it's localized to just one small part of California. It's a HUGE parade, and people camp out for weeks, but it's definitely not so grand as one of your European celebrations. Sadly.
Roland: Who knows? I could be wearing someone else's by now. ;-)
Zeb: We actually DID do that, only not in full costume. Would have been hard for the poor Stormtroopers. home.earthlink.net/~grievous/football.jpg
