The Fremont Bridge from just off Mississippi, sporting a nice long line of evening traffic.
The second time was the charm with this spot. Nathan and I had breakfast at Gravy in north Portland on Sunday, and as we were headed back downtown, we saw a spot with a great vantage on the Fremont (and this bridge is tough to shoot! there are so few angles!). I made a mental note so we could return at night.
We did, and it was beautiful. Pitch dark, the bridge was glowing, the traffic was zooming by...
...and my camera wouldn't turn on.
Sigh. I took it in to be fixed, so I am Rebel-less for a couple of weeks. It's evidently an issue that the 300D occasionally has, and I'm having serious withdrawal issues.
Anyway, so I went back the next day with my Powershot. I had to remember that you don't put the camera up to your eye--you can actually use the screen. Weird. It still did turn out well, and I love the sense of movement from the zooming cars. Fun place! I'll have to return when the Rebel is fixed.
