Ah! Green. I needed it so, so badly. I've been cooped up with responsibilities and a bad virus for awhile, so getting out was an absolute requirement yesterday. I found my way to Elowah Falls, and I swear that waterfall and a bit of mud on the jeans can fix just about any mental stuffiness. There's something electric in that spray with the wind on my face (and lens).
It's good to go back to the places where I have specific memories of falling in love with photography. I remember bringing my first camera out here and smiling ridiculously for an hour or two while playing with a plastic 17mm lens and my imagination. I've felt so artistically starved the last few weeks with the limited amount of photography that I've been able to do, and it really made me appreciate the joy of getting out to these places. It's simply good for me, on so many levels--eyes and skin and soul and lungs and heart.
