I've taken a lot of pictures of the Golden Gate these last couple of years. It is my favorite bridge, and I always go out of my way to say hello. The night I took this was a brand new world from up on that hill--never had I seen the bridge lit with moonlight. And oh, what a sight it was.
It was bright! I'm always amazed at how the moon will insist on blowing out every shot I take. After a lot of scooching around (the earth rotates remarkably fast), I finally got a few shots that didn't end up looking like mid-afternoon. I love the glow on the water, and the view way over to Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach.
I'll actually be heading down there again next month. A couple of my friends are getting married in Half Moon Bay. I can't wait. I miss San Francisco. Other than Portland, it's the home of my heart.
