Day 32 - Teaching

Day 32 - Teaching by aragirn.
I have this habit of being rather animated when I teach. I don't like to lecture, I like to lead discussion. Some days the kids are a bit sleepy though and I find that teaching from an odd location in the classroom tends to wake them up and get them a bit more interested.

In my Government class, we spent the last 3 days talking about war, and today and tomorrow we're talking about peace. I'm running out of things to talk about with peace though... all of the exciting foreign policy stuff is war related.

I had a couple of lively teachers at school. Mr Anstead was just wild with a crazy scarf like Doctor Who and Mr Armstrong who would climb into the filing cabinet to demonstrate German verbs!! Nice "action" pic today mate. Great to see where it all happens. Judging by the amount on the whiteboard they were enjoying the class!

@practicalowl - The week was fantastic, the pay isn't bad, but I would have done it gratis and been happy (except for one rambunctious 7th grade class).

@brightonsinger - The funny thing about the whiteboard is that I didn't write any of that. When I write on whiteboards, it isn't legible, so in my government class, when we really use it, I get volunteers to write on it for me.

You should have taken the track of my 7th grade science substitute teacher. I just remember him coming into the class and banging his fist on the metal podium. It scare the whole class into behaving. :)

Eventually he was hired fulltime and became one of my favorite teachers.
