This is our logo. I am looking for ways to improve the design. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

my only suggestion is the tagline... doesnt make sense to me. I like the logo mark, an "R" for refuge but also resembles a cross and a path or stream...

Not sure who your target audience is (younger folk, older, tradtional... etc) but maybe a different font for "The Refuge"? it seems geared towards a younger audience... maybe highschool.

I think I get the tagline, and I'm not sure what signals it may be sending. It almost seems like a veiled dagger at other churches. Church people are the only ones that might get it, I think if they do it's going to have a very polarizing effect towards your church. It's like saying that other churches aren't "being" what God called them to be.

I like the design, but I couldn't agree more about the tagline...it comes across as arrogant and exclusive to me.

I think overall it's a good idea -- at least a good start.

The execution of the shapes & forms could use some work; now it looks very amateur. Maybe try some more organic-looking brushstrokes (paint or charcoal look) for flag. Make the angle of letters same as flagpole; or at least the edges of 'E' & 'R' next to flagpole.

      Tagline:
Agreed; it's nebulous. I don't like a tagline that requires a footnote to explain it. In my opinion, the elipsis (three dots) is cliched and overdone. I would rethink the "be Christian, not just in church" concept. It can be worded much better and clearer. OR use a tagline that ties in better with the "refuge" theme -- like part of a scripture (a modern translation is good for these occasions). Type 'refuge' into visualthesaurus.com to help spark more ideas for taglines.

      I hope these suggestions help.
