My Knee: Four Days After Surgery

Although I tried to color correct, my leg really has this weird color cast. If you look at my thigh below the upper staple (yet near the towel) you can see my 'normal' color. It's actually slightly lighter and duller than normal since I had to really desaturate in order to make this photo viewable at all.

My Knee: Four Days After Surgery

The incision is roughly 10 cm.

Notice the surgical pen tags on my knee. Cool safety precaution. First, a nurse asks me, if I "agree that my left knee is the site of the injury." Then I put my initials on the spot. Then when the MD comes in before the procedure, he signs indicating that he intends to work on the same site.

BTW: I don't usually shave my legs. That was a surgical requirement as well.
