Andy pauses to pose for me as we cross over the Sundial Bridge after our walk on the loop trail on the north shore. Meet sweet Andy! And there is Carol's foot. :)
Andy is a beautiful, affectionate dog that Carol has lovingly rescued. He's the best! Carol brought him home when she discovered that he was going to be put down the next day along with a couple other dozen dogs in Tehama County. Andy is a very lucky boy, and we all adore him.
UPDATE: Andy has been adopted and has a new forever home! Carol had put his photo on petfinders.com and since she hadn't gotten any calls on him, she was going to keep him. Then she got a call, and it turns out Andy's new home is right in our neighborhood! How perfect! Andy loves his new mom, and we can still see him. What could be better?

I'm so grateful every time I go somewhere
with you and you have your camera in hand!
Thank you for getting such a memorable shot
of Andy smiling happily after our beautiful
walk on the trail! We're quickly making up
for the years of neglect he endured, and he
never hesitates to show his appreciation.

to Andy! :)
~ Carol, thanks so much. It's a joy to take
shots of our beautiful doggies. :) I know
Andy is so happy to be with you and receive
so much love and kindness. He deserves it!

how could anyone think of doing such a thing
to a dog
and one day I'm going to walk that
incredible bridge

I don't know...it's unbelieveable. The humane
society was about to put down 36 dogs the
next day. Pretty humane, don't you think?
They only give them a couple days to be
adopted, and if they don't get adopted, it's
lights out. We need new systems put in place
for dogs (and cats too).
You will love the bridge....!

It is a happy boy indeed. I like the eager
look of him and the wide stance, as if ready
for anything.
