This was in the middle of one of the most insane driving stunts I or Ted has ever pulled. We started in Austin, TX, drove to Baton Rouge, kept driving, trying to make it back to Delaware without going to sleep. After 20 something hours we realized it would be a good idea to take intermittent one hour naps. This is during one of those nap periods, at a rest station, something like 30 hours into the trip. About 5-6 hours after this, a mere two or three hours from our goal, we finally realized we'd die if we didn't hop into a motel for a few hours sleep in a real bed. A basically non-stop drive from Calgary to Portland, Oregon, as I recall the drive time was around 23 hours! Oh yeah, and this was four guys in a two-door Dodge Shadow...
