OIB Pier, at Night

[gets up gear and loads truck, pulls out onto access road and gets pulled over by local PD]

"Good evening. Do you know you have an expired license plate?"
"No I dont. So why are you pulling me over?"
"License and registration please"
"Answer my question. I know the rules."
"I've pulled you over because your registration is expired."
"No, my registration expires in [checks watch] fifteen hours and thirty two minutes"
"Yes it does, but you're inspection is out also"
"You just admitted to falsely pulling me over and here [waves folded paper] is the paper for my hearing for the inspection"
[takes paper] [takes proffered license] [takes proffered registration]
"I'll be right back" [walks to cruiser, radio's in a 'wants and warrants' search, probably, i dont know]

[three minutes expire]

"Here you go. Get your registration straight, and have a good night"
"Not so fast. Name and badge number, please?"
"Why?
"Why? You falsely pulled me over, you know my name, you know my address, my identification has been verified. Your name, and your badge number, please..."
[fills out business card with requested information, as per PD policy] [hands me card]
"Thank you. I hope you have a good night..."
"Get your registration straightened out"
"Excuse me? That can be misconstrued as a threat..."
[turns to walk away]
"Nope, no threat. But if I see you after 5PM today, I am pulling you and I am citing you and I am taking your plate"
"Legally this time I suppose"
"Legally what?"
"Legally pulling me over as opposed to what has already transpired"
"Take it as you see it"
"I'll do just that...."
[fires up truck] [tucks license and registration into wallet] [drives away]

i wish i could add something insane like [pulls out bloody and dismembered head from large suitcase full of heroin sitting in plain view on passenger seat, waves it at cop, laughs, maniacally.... ] but i cant...

a rare bird

we, of the Raleigh, NC Flickr community, was graced by the appearance of a very rare bird, not often seen in these parts. her name, San Dorothy Francisian.
usually found only in the extreme western regions of the United States, scientists here tried in vain to capture the elusive San Dorothy Francisian, but alas she escaped and was last seen flying due west at 37,000 feet... =(
