Mint ice tea and mowing the lawn -- it's so....summer!
(Really like how the tea's in crisp focus, while the the neighborhood is blurred.)

Is that a push mower? I used to have one of those! Great shot!

It was really nice meeting you today. Hope we can all do it again :)

You'll be at 500 views probably by the time you read this. Amazing isn't it?

Good meeting you today. Maybe we'll organize a group shoot next time.

Is the mower in the background a Brill Luxus 38? If so I've got the same mower and love it. Anyway, nice use of DOF on this awesome shot!

It is indeed a Brill Luxus 38: perfect for a lawn the size of mine, no engines to fuss with, listen to, or purchase fuel for. Thank you all for the nice comments on my photo.

Captures the elements of summer very well. I love the composition and the tea is very well shot. Just in case you're getting bored of the praise, I think the bright road detracts from the picture, and I'd have preferred it if you could have gone out with your road-roller and changed the surface to something that reflected less.

I love this shot! It pushes all of my suburban Americana buttons. And I have to admit, it makes me a little bit wistful to come across it in late September, as days get short and nights get cold.
