@Gareth. Den Engel has a 'democratic' approach to smoking: four tables have 'no smoking' signs in four languages, each of the tables has an ashtray, and if the number of smokers exceeds the no-smokers, the non-smoking tables are 'converted' into smoking tables. Incidentally, Belgium has now been more than 150 days without a government, as parties cannot agree: a need for a Den Engel approach to life?

Democracy? The problem with democracy is all too often there now't democratic about it.

And it bothers me a little that I know so little about what is happening in Belgium right now. Our media in the UK has a very narrow focus.
