Mintyboost USB charger
The replacement battery holder *just* fits through the opening, and the inside of the lid clamps down on it gently preventing rattles.

Mintyboost with replacement battery holder
The battery holder that came with the Mintyboost kit wouldn't fit through the oval opening of the tube, so was changed for one from Radioshack with rounded corners:

This was connected with a 9V-type connector.

Mintyboost in Mentos gum tube
Just fits neatly in the tube. The cutout for the USB connector was made with an X-Acto knife (#11 blade).

Mentos gum - for Mintyboost USB charger
The label comes off cleanly leaving a simple minimalist container - and the Mintyboost will just fit, if you change the battery holder.
