This is the first photograph I took in Lower Omo Valley (Ethiopia). When I saw these Arbore children with the Dik-Dik I began to think I've found a very special place. Indeed it is.
Esta es la primera fotografía que tome en el valle del Omo: la imagen de un niño o una niña Arbore -confieso que no lo sé- llevando un dik-dik entre sus brazos. Un lugar muy especial.

Karo boy in Kolcho. He didn't understand what I wanted from him and it's easy to detect his incomprehension in his pose and face. I like that in this pic. Sometimes I feel like an alien when I arrive to a small village with a DSLR and I begin to walk around. Ultimately, they don't understand us and we don't understand them (Lower Omo Valley - Ethiopia).

I always try to look at the eyes of the people: less agressive they are, more atracted I feel. This Arbore woman couldn't resist the camera: she was asking for a picture but she couldn't reveal her eyes. I think that makes the photograph more interesting (Lower Omo Valley - Ethiopia).
