Calling it right now, my favorite moment of 2007: Throwing myself face-first, fully clothed, down a giant inflatable Slip N' Slide right in the middle of "Untied."

Close runner-up: watching Mac McCaughan gently toss his tiny, giggling daughter down the same giant Slip N' Slide nearly twenty times in an afternoon. Cutest father/daughter pair ever? Hands down.

Tomorrow is Meg's birthday so we brought 'nem Tastykakes and birthday candles, most of which the wind blew out before she did. Else we watched a few intense rounds of dodgeball and otherwise monopolized the aforementioned water slide. Couldn't hope to do Superchunk any justice with my meager vocabulary, but they're still the sexiest band alive, and here's hoping they hurry back.

Dominated largely by us, a few hipster dudes, and an ever-rotating cast of babies.

It was just sitting there in the used bin at Kim's, right out in the open, like it knew I was coming!
