One more vote for "Cool, odd, weird, mysterious..." and conceptually simple but powerful. Had to come look after seeing the thumbnail.

Great photos. I have really enjoyed looking through your Flickrstream as I’ve been doing some research on Flickr

I hope you don’t consider this to be spam. I understand it’s kind of weird to post this, but I do so because I’ve looked through your photos and think you could help me out with a project I’m doing by taking a quick survey (Please feel free to delete this comment after you read it, if you wish) …

My name is Tara Buehner and I’m a doctoral student at the University of Oklahoma. My studies involve the perceptions that professional photojournalists and citizen photojournalists have of on another. We’re in an interesting time right now in which non-pro content creators to disseminate their content via the Internet and mainstream media outlets. This is a rich area of research and people like yourself are very valuable to me! You may not consider yourself a citizen photojournalist, but I assure you that I have looked at your group memberships and profile and according to the criteria I’m using my study, you sure are! I’m hoping you would be an important participant in my study by taking a quick survey. It should only take 10-12 minutes. This research is for my dissertation and in part to complete my doctoral degree requirements. The benefit to you is that I will enter you into a drawing to win a considerable cash prize.

Your participation would be truly very valuable in advancing knowledge about the practice of citizen journalism!

If you would like to participate, please follow this link: www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZZ685CH

You will find a little more information about my study when you click on this link.

If you would not like to participate, that’s OK! I still thank you for your time.

The University of Oklahoma is an equal opportunity institution.

      Sincerely,

      Tara Buehner
