Number tweaking.

Number tweaking. by antigone78.
I used a few different online calculators to figure out what these numbers SHOULD be. I'm going to set up my initial fitness test at the gym and I'll find out my body fat percent *shudder* and what he thinks my caloric intake should be so this might change a bit.

Thanks to Julie for the recommendation to find a good iPhone app to use. I read a ton of reviews and this one seems to be the best for what I'm trying to do.

I'm a very visual person so stuff like this helps me. I actually put in a few different lunch choices before deciding that to have. Hopefully I will start to see results sooner this way. Ben is now down 40 pounds. FORTY! It's amazing inspiration following my hot, trim husband around. ;)

cool app! Does it have a database or anything you can use to look up foods? That's what I like about Calorie Count Plus... they have alot of restaurants and.. well i eat out alot, particularly for lunch. Downside is it's only available via website/browser plug-in. BUT.. they do have a number you can txt! So you can txt 432584 something like, "food: mcdonalds cheeseburger" and it will send you back the calories, fat, carb, protein, etc.!

Having a handy tool like this is fantastic, especially from a "phone".. If you're working on fitness at the gym, you're doing it all in vain if you're not watching many calories you're taking in. Interesting enough, many people do not eat *ENOUGH* calories. When I thought I was "eating well" I was eating barely 700-800 calories a day because I cut portions and skipped cheese... then other days I'd eat 1400+ calories causing fasting/binging and not even knowing it.

Now you can moderate what you eat -- like eating stuff you love (me.. weakness is burgers, rice and guacamole!) and not waste the work you're doing to tone up. And ultimately, you can catch things like, say, your sodium... which I am finding as I get older I have to watch. I was quite shocked that I am "healthy" but have horrible cholesterol and high blood pressure :(
