Long Valley Peak

The distance between the boulders in the foreground and the peak is approximately 8 miles (15km). Ah, the miracles of perspective compression with a telephoto lens! (the focal length I used is 280mm).

Cruel weather conditions (aka almost flawless blue skies and hard afternoon sunlight) call for strong black & white edits. :)
