Ok, so a couple of things I feel the need to cover, I apologize for
First off, there was a race today in Pittsburgh and for some unknown reason they decided they would start at Litchfield Towers and would blast music as loud as possible to get the racers "pumped up," shall we say. This would be great, if it weren't for the fact that it started at 7:00am. Just saying.
Secondly, since there was no way I was falling back asleep with all the noise, I had the wonderful privilege of hearing the rules of the race, one of them being "don't run on the sidewalk." So please tell me runners why you proceeded to run on the sidewalk anyways and cuss me out when you ran face first into my bike as I was trying to make my way through your mob. No, it is not my fault that your "personal best" is ruined, it is your fault that you are too incompetent to follow simple instructions.
Thirdly, if you drive a car and have ever beeped, cussed out, or tried to hit a cyclist out of anger, let's take a moment to actually evaluate the situation. If you're driving a car, you're polluting, so the least you could do is not get all angry with those of us that aren't. Also, it takes a lot more energy to ride a bike than put your lazy foot on the gas peddle, so cut us a break. Finally, stop being in such a hurry and chill out. It's not my fault you over slept, spilled coffee all over your pants and are now late to work. Hitting me with your car is not going to make you any earlier.
And lastly, a special thanks to the guys who stuck back with me on the ride this morning at my snail pace, gave me some great advice, and saw to it that I finished all 40 some miles.
And now to get to my photo. I led "Hallway Yoga" tonight on my floor. It was lots of fun even though I thought my legs might just dissolve into a puddle of uselessness.
Have a great Monday everyone!
