Earlier in the month I walked to Hampstead Heath on a snow-bound morning, and have been meaning to sequence the pictures with some music. The flickrmovie facility has given me the impetus to focus my thoughts and make something.
I made this flickrmovie using Apple's iPhoto software. Here's the steps I went through * :
1. Selected and roughly sequenced pics in the 'Albums'.
2. Selected 'Slideshow'
3. In 'Settings' selected, 'Fit slideshow to music'.
4. in 'Music' selected the soundtrack in iTunes.
5. File>Export (to desktop) Large (640x480)
6. In Flickr use 'Upload Photos and Videos' and upload as 'private'
to check out before making public
7. If ok tick the 'public' box, under 'Additional Information' (to the
right here).
* This is a very abbreviated version of the steps I went through, but
it might give you some clues .. and if you have questions or need
clarification just ask in the comments.
Good luck, have fun.

Very nice and thanks for the tips. I suspect we'll be seeing more like this on flickr as the months roll by. Great shots and interesting music that fits the shots well. So lonely.

Blackhorse17, thank you, I think, and hope you're right, it will be good to see some inspirational flickrmovies; or long photos.

I really love your excellent music choice one again.

Maurits, thanks very much. Hunting for soundtracks for these picture sequences is always interesting because it gets me to listen to a lot of new music.

It's odd how some of these images works well together. In the case of post it stand alone, without the context their purpose might not be discovered.
Nice transition between images, also a good point. Photomovies goes on the slideshow style, a nice and elegant way to gathering images, if not a true short movie.

Stewart, thanks, I tend to photograph in sequences so it seems a reasonable idea to put them together with a soundtrack now and again.

Odon, thanks very much for this feedback, it's good to know they hold together in certain ways and create the sense of a movie, a sort of rough cut.

Beautiful, it all fits together so well, one snowy morning compressed into one atmospheric minute, and there's an interesting sense of place.

Tom, thank you, trying to encapsulate a long moment into 90 seconds certainly focusses the mind.
