26/366 - Baby Ringtail Possum (Australian native animal)

This little guy fell out of a gum tree into our creek, just before a torrential rainfall. It's very young and frail. It tried bravely to climb back towards the tree and it's Mama however it's just too tiny. It managed to get to a crevice in the rock wall and hid it's face. There are too many predators in our yard so we took it inside when the rain became heavy and called WIRES. After unsuccessfully trying to entice the Mama to come and get it, the WIRES lady took it home to give it food and shelter. She'll feed it overnight then try to reunite Mum and bub in the morning. If that doesn't work then the little guy will be looked after by experienced wildlife people.
