I talked to my dad before Russ and I went up to Portland and he and I tried again to figure out on Google maps where he grew up. He moved when he was 8, so all he can remember was that it was near train tracks, Columbia Park and was a project housing development.

When I told him we were looking around Alberta he said, "My grandma lived on Alberta."

I'm enjoying jogging my his memory. I don't think any of us know all that much about his childhood so all the talk of Portland is bringing up more and more little tidbits but I'm gobbling them up.
