I'm still taking my Vitamin D as a cure to the Portland winters, but honestly-- and this isn't a surprise to anyone experiencing winter across this country--it's been a very easy winter. Every time the dark starts to influence my cold fingers into writing bad poetry, the sun shows its shiny face.

Not bad at all, Portland.

A little tale about a baby being born....

Why yes, I do have a lot of photos of Truly.

Not long after the previous photo was taken, the news station across the street moved out. It was a shame as they had a prime location right across from Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.

One day the massive face of the weather man (not Dallas Raines or Johnny Mountain, sadly) hung above me as I made my way to Baja Fresh.

The next day it was this.

Three years later I watched it tower above me again but this time on a large screen in a movie theater in Portland.

Yesterday, I found this photo again but the mystery behind where the weather man went and why this took its place is gone.
