      When I read your description, I just had to remember something from Dumas "The Count of Monte Cristo". You can lose anything and everything - your health, freedom, friends, but one thing no one can ever take from you is knowledge.
      I love the picture, and the fact that the books are so old and tattered - I love old books. :)

      Nice shot. There is always something about old books that make them a great photography subject. I think this is an unconsidered side of the eletronic versus paper books argument. It just wouldn't work as a pile of second hand Kindles?!?
