" I Don't Believe in Happy Endings" - Ariel

" I Don't Believe in Happy Endings" - Ariel

Once her former fishy bottom half
Revealed Ariel’s untouched chamber
Of lust and procreation
There emerged
a rather unpredictable situation:
Rather than seeking out
a prince with a large
Throne and a powerful thrust,
Ariel was left quite alone,
and with no one
She could trust, turned to her gadgets and gismos of plenty
And, admitting that inside
she felt rather empty,
Would sing,
Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat?
And isn’t my appetite
just simply humungous?
Before whispering,
I hope that now that I have feet,
I don’t start growing toenail fungus.

" I Don't Believe in Happy Endings" - Sleeping Beauty

" I Don't Believe in Happy Endings" - Sleeping Beauty

If there’s one thing that holds no beauty,
It must be sleep
Is what Sleeping Beauty would say
If ever she did speak.
Beauty is when things are pure,
Beauty is when things are white
And beauty is when it takes
just a few short lines
To declare yourself
Queen of the Night.

" I Don't Believe in Happy Endings" - Dumbo

" I Don't Believe in Happy Endings" - Dumbo

The fact that Dumbo
was not exactly smart
Was not particularly
hard to guess
And all that smothering mothering
Turned Dumbo into
quite the psychological mess.
Eager to soar to ever new heights,
It was an ugly fate that Dumbo met
When he found himself staring into
The engine of a 747 jumbo jet.

" I Don't Believe in Happy Endings" - Pinocchio

" I Don't Believe in Happy Endings" - Pinocchio

‘Wood is good’,
his Master Geppetto used to say
Whenever Pinocchio would ask
Why the devil he was made this way.
Understandably in shock
it would require adolescence
For Pinocchio to pin down
wood’s true essence
For it was not just being wood
But having wood
that was truly good
And as Pinocchio would grow
accustomed to his wood extending
He gradually learned
the true meaning of a happy ending.
