      ah marie! you're so sweet. thank you, I'm glad you like it : )
      and guess what - that black fabric is actually the same that we bought for our 339 project. in fact, i still have a good piece left for another quilt probably, haha.

      I was inspired by this japanese quilt artist Yoshiko Jinzenji. Her work is amazing and you would love it. She does very contemporary, graphically-inspired sewing projects that are so refreshing. Check out this quilt, it's a masterpiece: buzzville.typepad.com/buzzville/images/jinzenji.jpg
      I have her book that I'll show you, or maybe you'll be able to find it, called "Simple Quilts" it's drool-inducing, i'm serious.
