In spite of the weather, we ventured outside. The hotel food was atrocious and we needed breakfast. At a nearby restaurant, a middle aged man came running out to the parking lot with umbrellas and parkas to help us to the door. Inside we shook off the rain and settled in to some Jeju Island specialties. Gavin warmed up to a seaweed soup and I heartily ingested this abalone porridge. We were reluctant to go back to the hotel after our cozy meal, but the worsening weather required it sooner rather than later.
We spent the rest of the day trapped indoors at the Hyatt.
