Good morning, Flickr!

It has really and truly been a while since I posted here, but a couple of weeks ago, I got a message from the illustrious Joel and Coca-Cola about submitting a photo/word in the Coca-Cola group here on Flickr, and seriously, how could I turn down that? I have been following Joel's work for about three years now, as he is not only an inspirational photographer, he is just an all-around great guy! And, Coke, well - y'all know how much I love Coke.

So, the new theme word that I chose for the group is "Splash!" I guess with Memorial Day weekend coming up here in the US, I have summer on the brain!

And, since it's Sliders Sunday, I posted the original in the comments, because people in Sliders Sunday often get all pissy if they don't think it's slid enough.

Howdy, y'all!

The past few months have been an incredible roller-coaster of happiness, sadness, stress, triumph, comedy and tragedy. I suppose that is life, in a nutshell, but things have definitely been heightened for me and my family since the end of 2011.

Good things are happening in 2012, though. Next week, Evan and I will be moving to Milledgeville, as he got a job in the library at GCSU. Yay, Evan! I will miss Athens, but I will be coming here regularly starting in the fall.

My path in photography seems to constantly move in new directions that I never anticipated. I never, in a million years, had any intention of going to grad school, much less for photography, but that is where I now find myself, and honestly, I couldn't be more excited. I am looking forward to being introduced to new styles, new ideas, and working with new people. New is GOOD!

Break out Kermit, some books, high heels, and have fun. It won't solve all of your problems, but it will momentarily help!
