Anna Cosci - Made in Italy - NEW LAND

In 1616, Dirk Hartog was the first European man to land on Australian soil. The Dutch Peter Nuyts and, above all, Abel Tasman explored most of the southern coast and called it "New Holland". In 1768, James Cook started for a long exploration voyage in the Pacific Ocean and was the first person to infer that New Holland was a continent. In the meantime, another Englishman, Matthew Flinders, circumnavigated the country to prove that New Holland was not a group of islands but a land in itself. Flinders named that land Australia. That is how NEW LAND, that the Europeans tried to explore for such a long time, became Australia, an extraordinary continent of unique beauty, the continent of tranquillity and peace. This emotional perception in Bell-Mont is reflected in the creation of NEW LAND, giving the garment the lightness, the simplicity and the modern features that are most typical of this place.
