We had fantastic views of the West on the way from Newark, NJ to Los Angeles. There's nothing like red rock & white snow! This is probably eastern Utah. EDIT: Yep, and I wasn't kidding about eastern! The right side of the photo probably just misses the Utah-Colorado border; the left side is ~10 km (6 mi) from it. At Grand Junction, just to the east of here, the Colorado River is flowing through the broad, flat Grand Valley. But at the upper left, you can see it just starting to cut its way into Utah canyon country, forming the uppermost end of the Marble Canyon -- the very beginning of the Grand Canyon.
And DO NOT ask my how I did it, but the mesa at the top of the photo happens to be called Snyder Mesa -- and Snyder is my brand-new married name (hence the honeymoon)!
