I had originally posted an unphotoshopped version of this, which was duller. Dawn Endico said "this needs to be Photoshopped," & so she did it & sent me these revised versions. Boy, was she right! This one I had been afraid of brightening it up too much because I didn't want to lose the veining & delicate pink blush, but she did it by bringing the white level down & the gamma (gray level) up to compensate, & that did the trick.
Thank you to glenfinlas for help with the ID! Bigger & pinker than multiflora, but smaller & paler than sweetbriar (eglantine). Growing in a sand dune ecosystem, IIRC. CommentsAnita363
