Toy Train to Ooty!

The toy train travels at around 15-20 kms per hour from Mettupalayam to Ooty. We took it from Wellington station. It chugs across plains, tea plantation and hills lined with eucalyptus and silver oak.

There are a total of 16 tunnels and tall girder bridges on the way. If you're visiting Ooty, a ride in the toy train is a must! May 2007.
