Golden Gate Bridge - Photographing World's Most Photographed Place

Golden Gate Bridge, now in Explore
Golden Gate Bridge - Photographing World's Most Photographed Place by Anirudh Koul.
Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco captured. Note to self: Never hold and shoot with a 2 kg camera in your left hand for more than 1 minute. Perfect recipe for a sprain.

Had gone to visit San Francisco, California in January 2008. After missing my boat to Alcatraz, I visited the next best thing (I know that's debatable). The mighty Golden Gate Bridge, is titled as the 'Most Photographed Man Made Creation on Planet Earth' (Don't know which other planets compete with us).

The only issue while taking this picture was that the shutter button of the DSLR is kind of unreachable (its on the right side), if you are holding and taking the picture simultaneously with one hand (the left one). Hope never to repeat the same feat again.

this is pretty cool. what i like about this is that it isn't one of the thousands of photos taken daily of each such landmark. everyone knows what the golden gate bridge, the eiffel tower, the london eye look like. they're iconic, so play with them, allude to them, seduce your public by titillating them ... :o)

i would have instinctively said, "use a smaller aperture," but no. you're right, leave the bridge itself blurry. it works. it's playful.
