Kumquat madness

Kumquats (Fortunella sp.) - the smallest citrus fruits. Apparently very rich in vitaminA .
I like their portuguese name - laranja de ouro. Sounds even more exciting ;-)

Thanks for the comments guys ;-)

My Disgruntled friend - they sort of taste like oranges, but have stronger citrusy taste. The "orange" tag was for color ;-)

great color and composition here! i like how the bowl of fruit is off-center, it's more interesting this way.

Meet the whole dysfunctional citrus family. Kumquat Madness, Clementine Insanity, Lime Lunacy, Lemon Craziness, Schizo Orange.

I like the picture, Ani. It looks good enough to be used in an ad for The Kumquat Growers Of America.

Dean - I haven't decided yet, but I like to use the peel in cookies. They are organic, you know ;-) I'll share.

who would have imagined kumquats would be so beautiful. this is a clean shot...the background is great, and emphasizes the color of the fruit

Annie your fruit fotoz are amazing..!

      Kumquats are very citrusy...meaning sour...

The fruits are sometimes candied to make them easier to enjoy...

The images are easy to enjoy..

I've heard that people make marmalade out of those and add cloves, cinnamon. I like the strong citrusy scent.
