Our belief in things unseen
comes from the tiny gene

Just like our eyes and nose
we all get a different dose

Evolution encourages god
because religion gets the nod

For taming the human animal
and shaming the occational cannibal

With the rise of our simian mind
It's used to improve our kind

So evolution and god I deem
To play on the very same team

We now have the motivation
to build up the human nation

But next we need to discover
how not to destroy each other

Evolution and god have the means
The solution is in our genes
