All these fireworks shots are amazing, and they're inspiring me to figure out how to take these kind of shots. I guess I have a little less than a year to learn before next July 4. Did you use a tripod or anything? I see your tag "long exposure".

@Alan - yes, I used a tripod, gotta keep it steady! It took me about 15 minutes to get what I wanted but I did end up with a 3 second exposure. That's long to me anyway, haha. Just pointed it in the basic right direction and kept shooting and changing settings until I got it right. I had a lot to delete, lots of black empty ones caused to me shooting to early or too late or the firework being too high, etc. I can't wait until the next Fourth of July :)
