Through a Jungle
Part of my ongoing "Black Forest Waterfalls" series
The Ravennaschlucht near Freiburg is part of the Höllental ("Hell valley"), a deep valley that runs trough the ridgelines of the nearby Black Forest mountains. The canyon itself is narrow and steep with a wild river flowing through it. It has two main falls and several smaller ones, which the largest (which is shown here) being 15 m high. In this canyon, nature is largely left on its own, resulting in an almost jungle like appearance.
