Hopefully won't be too long before 5442's looking like this again (on the outside at least!). Personally, I think most modern buses don't look as good as this.

It was a good design - a nice way to remember ECW at its best. Hopefully, yours won't have the rubber trim trailing over the roof!
It's a great pity that I never seized the opportunity to borrow the photos of 5445 when it was on fire. I was good friends with the driver who now, unfortunately, lives in Australia and with whom I'm no longer in touch. As fire was consuming the coach, he calmly walked down the upper deck closing all open windows, then went outside and took a great series of photos. (Like me, he always kept his camera with him!)
